AIGSB at the Second World Public Assembly

On 18–19 September in Moscow, at the World Trade Center, the Second World Public Assembly “New World: Values That Unite” was held.

The Assembly brought together more than 5,000 participants from 154 countries — representatives of public organizations, education and science, culture, business, youth associations, and the diplomatic community.

Representatives of the Association of International Graduates and Students of Belgorod Region (AIGSB) took part in the work of the Assembly: President of the Association Ahmed Mansour, AIGSB representative Alexandra Ozheredova, students of the “International Relations” programme of the Student International Integration Council, as well as foreign students and graduates of leading Belgorod universities.

The discussions focused on issues of public diplomacy, international education and science, cultural and linguistic heritage, the development of international partnerships, and the role of technologies in modern society. A significant part of the programme was devoted to youth interaction: within the framework of the “Generation of Unity” forum and youth platforms, participants discussed the role of the new generation in international dialogue and joint initiatives. Separate discussions also addressed issues of historical memory, family and traditional values, media, and artificial intelligence.

One of the key platforms was the strategic session “Voices of the Regions: From Initiatives to Joint Action,” dedicated to the development of international ties and practical cooperation. Thematic panels, a media forum, and discussions uniting participants from different countries and professional spheres were also held.

As a result of the Assembly, more than 30 agreements and memoranda were signed in the fields of education, science, culture, public diplomacy, humanitarian and youth cooperation. Participants also adopted the Final Declaration of the Second World Public Assembly.

AIGSB’s participation in the Assembly was preceded by a meeting on 17 September entitled “Russian-Arab Partnership in Contemporary Realities,” held in Moscow with the participation of representatives of Russia and Arab countries. The focus was on the prospects for cooperation in education, culture, and humanitarian interaction, as well as the development of youth initiatives.

For AIGSB, participation in such international platforms is an opportunity to develop professional and academic ties, represent the international student community, and shape new cooperation projects. 🌐
