Success Story: Arslan Tadjimetov — From Belgorod State University Student to Leading IT Analyst

My name is Arslan Pushkinovich Tadjimetov. I was born in Turkmenistan, and my professional journey is closely connected with Belgorod State University. Today, I live in Moscow and work as a Lead IT Analyst at Abbott, a major American healthcare company, where I focus on the automation and optimization of corporate systems and applications.

University as the Foundation for the Future

In 2013, I enrolled in the Infocommunication Technologies and Communication Systems programme at Belgorod State University. It was a conscious choice: the university offered a strong engineering education, high academic standards, and an opportunity to gain not only fundamental knowledge but also practical skills.

During my years at the university, I gained:

• knowledge of telecommunications, data transmission networks, and programming;
• experience in an international student environment;
• the ability to solve complex technical challenges;
• strong skills in self-development and self-organization.

Key Milestones of My Student Years

My university years were full of memorable experiences and opportunities.

2014 — became the head of the Turkmen student community at Belgorod State University and a group leader for two academic groups;

2016 — received the Rector’s Scholarship for academic excellence;

2018 — successfully defended my graduation thesis with distinction on the topic “Development of a Smart City Plan Using IoT Technologies in Ashgabat.”

Warm Memories of Belgorod State University

I have especially fond memories of my first examination period, which brought our international group even closer together, as well as my work at language schools and the Centre for Intercultural Communication, where I had the opportunity to try myself as an event organizer and host.

One particularly memorable experience was International Students’ Day, when we prepared plov for the entire dormitory. It is moments like these that create the unique atmosphere of student life and stay with us for many years.

From Communications Engineer to IT Analyst

My professional journey was not a linear one. After graduating as a communications engineer, I decided to explore a new field and retrained as an IT analyst.

Today, I am doing work that I genuinely enjoy, and I believe that a career should bring not only results but also a sense of fulfillment.

In 2022, I completed my Master’s degree and began my career in the IT sector. Today, my work focuses on automating and optimizing processes that make the day-to-day work of employees more efficient.

My Greatest Achievement

2023 — started a family;

Since 2024 — a loving husband and father.

Despite my professional achievements, I consider my family to be my greatest success.

Looking to the Future

In the future, I plan to work on projects related to the development of IoT technologies in Turkmenistan, contribute to the training of IT specialists in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and continue my own education.

My mission is to build a bridge between Russian technological solutions and the needs of the Turkmen market, contributing to the digital transformation of my home country.

A Message to Students

I would like to address the current students of Belgorod State University: value the time you spend at university. Do not be afraid to try new things, take part in international projects, broaden your horizons, and never stop learning. Your student years can become the starting point for your future achievements.

Today, I can confidently say that choosing Belgorod State University was one of the most important and right decisions of my life. The university gave me not only a profession, but also confidence in my abilities, systematic thinking, and a solid foundation for further growth.
