Music knows no borders — and it was music that brought me from Ecuador to Belgorod.

Torres Paz Pablo Andres (Ecuador) is a graduate of the master’s programme in Musical Performance at the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture (BGIIK).

“Music knows no borders — and it was music that brought me from Ecuador to Belgorod. Studying at BGIIK became a bridge between cultures and shaped my professional path. After completing my degree, I realized that I wanted to develop my career here in Russia and made the decision to stay in Belgorod. Today, I have a residence permit and am happy to work at the Belgorod Philharmonic.

For me, Belgorod has become a second home. Here, I have found not only professional fulfillment, but also support, understanding, and new friends. Russia and Belgorod are open to those who are ready to work, learn, and share their talents.

I would like to encourage international students to believe in themselves and make the most of every opportunity that studying abroad provides. Do not be afraid of difficulties — language barriers and cultural differences are only temporary challenges that make us stronger and more adaptable. Be open to new experiences: every encounter and every event contributes to your future.

Remember that Russia can be an excellent place to build your professional career — there are many opportunities for those who are ready to work and continue developing.

I wish you success in your studies and in life! May your journey be filled with inspiration, memorable experiences, and meaningful achievements. I look forward to seeing you at my concerts at the Belgorod Philharmonic!”

The story of Pablo Andres is an example of how education, talent, and determination can help a person not only acquire a profession, but also find their place in life, build a career, and realize their potential in an international environment.
