Today, we are pleased to introduce another student leader — Khalil Dib from Syria.
Khalil is a first-year student at the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture, majoring in Tourism Management.

The answer is simple: the Russian education system is renowned for combining a strong academic foundation with extensive practical training. For me, as a future tourism professional, Russia is a vast ‘living laboratory’ with extraordinary natural and cultural diversity, where I can learn about hospitality at an international level.
Education in Russia opens doors that I had never even dreamed of before. It is not only about lectures and classes, but also about the opportunity to participate in international forums, develop soft skills, and make friends from different parts of the world. During your university years, you are not simply a student — you become part of a vast community that values initiative and active participation.
Today, I am at the heart of student life. My days are filled with constant activity — from discussing new projects within the Association to participating in volunteer initiatives. One of my main achievements so far is becoming a student leader. I have been able to develop my skills as an organizer and serve as a bridge between cultures, helping international students adapt and feel at home in Belgorod.
People are my greatest source of inspiration. Seeing the excitement in the eyes of first-year students when they discover their calling is the best motivation to keep moving forward. I have already implemented several initiatives aimed at strengthening intercultural friendship, and this is only the beginning.
In the future, I plan to become a professional who will help connect tourism flows between Russia and the countries of the Middle East. I want to show the world the beauty of these regions and contribute to cultural exchange at the national level.
To prospective students and those who are already studying, I would like to say: do not be afraid of difficulties or the language barrier — they are simply temporary steps on the way to success. Russia is a country of opportunities, but these opportunities are available to those who are brave enough to take a step toward something new. Be active and make the most of every moment of your student life!
