This is generally not an administrative violation, but a disciplinary one.
For failure to comply with the university charter, internal regulations, or dormitory rules, the university may issue a warning, a reprimand, or expel the student.
b) Failure to leave the country after expulsion.
Expulsion may become grounds for shortening the period of temporary stay. If the student does not leave after the end of the legal period of stay, the fine is
2,000–5,000 rubles with deportation.
c) Unpaid or repeated traffic fines.
One paid fine in itself does not automatically mean refusal to extend a student visa. However, two or more administrative offences within three years may become grounds for a ban on subsequent entry into Russia for three years.
An unpaid fine may prevent entry until it is fully paid.
d) Smoking cigarettes or hookah, consuming alcohol in prohibited places.
Smoking nicotine-containing products or hookah is subject to a fine of 500–1,500 rubles, and on a children's playground – 2,000–3,000 rubles.
For consuming alcohol in a prohibited place, the fine is 500–1,500 rubles.
e) Residence at an address different from the address of migration registration.
The registration must correspond to the actual place of stay. Usually, the notification must be submitted within seven working days. A violation entails a fine of 2,000–5,000 rubles with possible deportation.
f) Fictitious registration address.
Registration at an address without the intention to actually live there or with false information is no longer an administrative offence, but a criminal offence.
The penalty: a fine of 100,000–500,000 rubles.
Compulsory labor or imprisonment for up to five years.
The student's liability depends on whether their participation and intent are proven.
